A sea of people, at least 100,000 people, took part in today’s (Sunday) peace demonstration in central Berlin.
With slogans “No to war”, “Solidarity in Ukraine”, “Switzerland, freeze their accounts”, but also “I prefer to cook over the fire than to cooperate” and “Putin is not Russia”, people of all ages gathered in the Brandenburg Gate area holding its flags Ukraine, while in the Federal Parliament the extraordinary sitting on the war in Ukraine was in progress. Among the organizers were groups from the Ukrainian Diaspora as well as German human rights organizations.
The police had excluded the road in front of the Embassy of the Russian Federation, which is in the same area, while from loudspeakers, they invented the hygiene measures, with distances and masks.
The rally, which took place “almost without problems and peacefully”, according to the relevant announcement of the Police, was disbanded four hours later.
