10-year-old Teagan spots 5 huge dinosaur footprints that were there 200 million years ago
An incredible discovery was made unknowingly by a 10-year-old on a beach in South Wales where she had gone for a walk with her mother.
10-year-old Teagan spotted five huge footprints that experts believe are the sign of a dinosaur that was there 200 million years ago.
Paleontologists believe the tracks, which are up to 75cm apart, were made by a huge herbivorous dinosaur, and efforts are now being made to verify them.
The BBC reports that Teagan and her mum have been told by the curator of palaeontology at the National Museum of Wales that it is almost certain to be genuine dinosaur footprints.

“The tracks are so big, they should be a type of dinosaur called sauropodiform”said the curator of palaeontology at the National Museum of Wales.
For her part, the 10-year-old, speaking about her experience, said: “We found some big holes that looked like dinosaur tracks, so mum took some pictures, emailed the museum and it turned out to be from a long-necked dinosaur.”
