War in Ukraine: 351 civilians killed, according to UN-707 wounded

by

The number of civilians killed in Ukraine since the Russian invasion began before 10 days reached them 351, while 707 have been injured, the UN said today, according to Reuters. The actual figures are likely to be “significantly higher,” he said.

Most civilian casualties were caused by high-impact explosive devices, including heavy artillery bombardment and multi-launcher missile systems, as well as by bombings and airstrikes, observers from the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) said.

“The OHCHR believes that the actual figures are significantly higher, especially in government-controlled territories and especially in recent days, as information from some of the locations of intense hostilities has been delayed and many reports are still pending,” it said.

Hundreds of civilian casualties were reported in the town of Volnovakha, where efforts were made to open a safe evacuation corridor, but information has not yet been confirmed.
