The list of countries that impose “destructive behaviors that contradict Russian spiritual and moral values” was approved by the Russian Prime Minister Michael Mishustin, as reported by TASS news agency.
According to the publication, the list includes 47 countries and territories that “implement policies that impose destructive neoliberal ideological attitudes that are at odds with traditional Russian spiritual and moral values,” among them the United States of America, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Japan, Greece, Cyprus and other states.
Of the countries of the European Union, they are not included in the list Slovakia and the Hungary and from the NATO countries, Turkey.
According to sources cited by the news agency, the list was approved under Vladimir Putin’s presidential decree to provide humanitarian support to foreigners who share traditional spiritual and moral values.
The provision enters into force on the day of its official publication.
List of unfriendly countries
Russia also has other lists of unfriendly states to use as diplomatic and economic countermeasures. The first list was approved in the spring of 2021 and included only two countries – the USA and the Czech Republic. For them, restrictions were imposed on the work of diplomatic missions.
The second list was adopted in March 2022 and updated in July and October of the same year. Transactions with countries included in this list must be carried out in a special way. This list includes 46 countries and territories: all EU member states, as well as Ukraine, Montenegro, Switzerland, Albania, Andorra, Iceland, Liechtenstein, United Kingdom, Monaco, Norway, San Marino, North Macedonia, Japan, South Korea, Australia, Micronesia, New Zealand, Singapore and Taiwan.
