At least three civilians have been killed and 18 others injured in a Russian missile and drone attack on the central-eastern Ukrainian city of Dnipro.

“Three people were killed. “According to the first information, 18 others were injured, including a 14-year-old girl,” according to the governor of the district, Serhii Lisak.

A shopping center and a gas station were damaged in the strikes, said the speaker of the local parliament, Mykola Lukacsuk, who posted photos of a building and cars with shattered windows.

“Three Iskander-K missiles, four X-59 guided missiles and five Shahed drones” were launched from Moscow, according to the Ukrainian air force command which claimed that “11 targets” were downed.

The city of Dnipro, an important industrial and scientific center, had a population of about 1 million before the Russian invasion. It is a hundred kilometers away, as the crow flies, from the front and is often hit by air strikes. In January 2023, a Russian missile crashed into an apartment building, killing 46 people.

In another attack, in Kharkiv, two people were killed and more than 30 injured, according to governor Oleh Sinekhubov.
