The Iranian-backed Islamic Resistance in Iraq claimed responsibility for the launch, claiming it had targeted sites in Eilat.
No sirens sounded in Eilat as the drones were shot down before entering Israeli airspace.

Also, two rockets were fired from Lebanon into northern Israel shortly after 11 a.m., setting off sirens in the Western Galilee and the Haifa Bay area.
According to the IDF, one of the missiles was intercepted, while the second hit an open area.
There are no reports of injuries or major damage.
The new strikes follow nights where 11 people were injured in an overnight rocket attack in the central city of Thira.
