President-elect Donald Trump has tapped Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to be the next secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services, a source familiar with the president-elect’s moves tells CNN.

The same source said Kennedy is expected to accept, while other sources tell CNN that Trump could make an announcement any time soon.

His report notes that the choice, which will upset many public health experts, comes after Trump promised to let Kennedy “run wild” with his administration’s health and food policy.

It is recalled that Kennedy abandoned his own presidential candidacy to support Trump.

In his first statements after his victory, Trump – addressing Kennedy – had said: “He will help make America healthy again. He wants to do some things and we’ll let him do them. Go have a good time, Bobby.’

We remind you that Robert Kennedy Jr. was one of the biggest supporters of the anti-vaccination movement in the US during the pandemic.
