Flight radar 24 in a post on X says:

“Last night we observed an Ilyushin Il-76T flight over Syria.

The flight took off from Damascus and the signal was lost near the city of Homs.

* We can confirm that the flight took place.
* The aircraft was old with an older generation of transponders, so some data may be bad or missing.
* The aircraft was flying in a GPS jammed area, so some data may be bad.
* We believe the data generally gives a pretty good indication of what happened to the aircraft.
* We are not aware of any airports in the area where the signal was lost.”
