The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskywill remain at Kyiv and will fight even when the Russian forces are approaching inside, said the country’s ambassador to the United Kingdom.
Speaking to Skynews, the Vadim Pristaiko said that Zelensky has already decided to stay in the capital.
He said that while some would argue that it was important for the leader to remain safe in order to coordinate his country’s response, Zelensky considered it important to express his support for the Ukrainians.
Although the Russians mercenaries have been instructed to assassinate the Ukrainian presidentall attempts made so far have failed.
Asked if Zelensky would fight to the death if he had to, Mr Pristaiko replied: “That’s what he said.”
However, according to the Gzero website, as reported by Daily, There are four scenarios for Zelensky’s fate.
– According to the first, Zelensky will escape an occupation of Kiev by Russian forces and, being recognized as the legitimate president of Ukraine by most foreign governments, will lead the Ukrainian government from exile – either from non-Russian-occupied western Ukraine or from abroad.
– According to the second scenario, Zelensky will be killed in the battles and will witness in the name of Ukrainian independence.
– Zelensky will be imprisoned by Russian forces and his release will be a diplomatic bargaining chip, according to the third scenario.
– Finally, the fourth scenario estimates that Russian forces will not be able to occupy Kyiv and Zelensky’s image as a national hero and international symbol will be strengthened, while Russian President Vladimir Putin will be forced to negotiate with him.
Each of these scenarios involves long-term risks and are all discussed behind closed doors in Kyiv, Moscow, Washington and Europe.
