The end of Kurdish fighters in Syria is near, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in a speech after the cabinet meeting.

He added that “we hope Gaza will follow the same path as Syria”.

In particular, Erdogan said that “those who react to the alliance of humanity created at the Galata Bridge (to support Palestine) are people without a conscience who have no stake in humanity.”

He added that: “An independent, sovereign, territorially intact Palestinian State with East Jerusalem as its capital will be established based on the 1967 borders.”

In more detail he stated:

We have left behind a painful and turbulent year in the context of regional developments. We greeted 2025 with new expectations and high hopes. I pray to God that the new Gregorian year will be beneficial for all the people of the country, the region and the world. I hope that the year 2025 will lead to a ceasefire, calm, peace and prosperity for our brothers and sisters in Gaza who experienced one of the most barbaric genocides of the last century. As Turks, we are trying by all means to stop the bloody carnage from day one.

We have intensified our diplomatic contacts so that the international community can increase the pressure on the Israeli government. We are doing whatever is necessary to open the door to hope for peace in Gaza. We will continue this until we get results. I would especially like to thank all my fellow citizens who came together under the slogan “A Sun Rises” on the morning of January 1st. About half a million of our brothers once again shouted from Istanbul to the whole world that Gaza is not abandoned.

I must express great sympathy for it. Some people are immediately disturbed by this meeting of civil society. Let me be honest, those who oppose the alliance of humanity are poor people of conscience who have not had their share of humanity. No one with an iota of compassion in their heart can remain indifferent to this cruelty. We believe in this divine good news with all our hearts. Just as faith and patience won out in Syria after 61 years of Baathist oppression and 13 years of massacres, I hope the truth will find its way to Palestine and the sun of justice will break through the darkness of oppression».

“Be ready for war if you want peace”

With our national struggle, we not only tore up the Treaty of Sèvres, we swore that our people would not face such a trauma again. Our main goal since 2002 has been to ensure that our nation never again has a survival problem. These wise words of our ancestors have guided us for 22 years. “Be ready for war, if you want peace,” if you want peace and salvation, you will be ready for war at all times. Turkey is a source of trust and security for its friends and has more than enough power to break the dirty hands that threaten our homeland, no matter who they are.

With the epic revolution that took place in our neighboring Syria, a new era has begun both in this country and in our region. We see that the new Syrian administration is trying to build Syria on the basis of the country’s territorial integrity and unity and is determined to do so. Our expectation is in this direction. We do not consent to the disintegration of Syria and the destruction of its unified structure. If we see that there is a risk in this regard, we will quickly take the necessary measures. Those who turn the conflict in Syria and the threat of the Islamic State (DAESH) into an opportunity have faced ancient truths. This is a fact that there is no room for terrorism in the future of the region.

No force can prevent it

Honestly, he should be buried in the ground with his guns. Turkey has shown many times what uncompromising will it has. If it gets to this point, we might suddenly come again one night. Thank God we have the power and ability to do this. Those responsible should neither make provocations nor make statements that will stir up the nation. As we buried those who sought cantonism in these ditches in the same ditches they dug in some of our provinces and districts, if those with the same intention appear today, we will make them pay double the price. I honestly say that no power can prevent it.

As a government and its alliance, we will definitely achieve our goal of a terrorism-free Turkey, one way or another. Of course, we hope that this will be done in peace and tranquility. If this year or this road is closed or dynamited, then we will not hesitate to use the iron fist of our state wrapped in velvet gloves. Ultimately, we believe that brotherhood, unity and solidarity will prevail».
