Ukrainian private television stations continued to operate after the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24th. The decree, which was uploaded to the Ukrainian presidency’s website, does not specify how soon the measure will enter into force.
Earlier it was reported that the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine banned the activity of 11 parties characterized as pro-Russian as long as martial law is applied throughout the territory. The decision was announced by the Ukrainian president in a videotaped message to the citizens, which was uploaded to social networking sites last Saturday night.
Volodymyr Zelensky says the Russian army has suffered “unprecedented losses” and that some Russian units have been “destroyed by 80 to 90%.
