American actress Gilian Anderson and former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson are among the candidates for this year’s British Book Awards.

Boris Johnson is a candidate in the categories of non -fiction and non -fictional narrative of his memoirs entitled “Unleashed” covering the time of London mayor, a Brexit advocate, Foreign Minister and Prime Minister.

Anderson, the protagonist of the X Files series, is a candidate in the same categories for her book “Want: Sexual Fantasies” by Anonymous, a collection of women’s confessions for their sexual desires.

In the category of Non -fictional Narrative Candidate is also the memoirs of the English actress, comedian and writer Miranda Hart entitled “I Haven’t Been Entirely Honest With You” and a translation of the post -death memoirs of the Russian leader, “Patriot”.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony in downtown London on Monday, May 12th.
