The armed wing of the Islamist movement Hamas It released a video today showing two Israeli hostages that are still being held in Gaza. One of them appeals to end the war in the Palestinian enclave.

Israeli media identified the two men appearing in the video of about three minutes. They are about Elcana Bohbot and Joseph-Him Okhana. Both were abducted by Hamas on October 7, 2023.

In the video the two men are in a small space. One, who has shaved head and tattoos on the arm, speaks by making gestures while the other, lying and covered with a blanket, is obviously weakened and remains silent.

The first man explains that his partner is in a very poor physical and mental state and invites the Israeli leadership to end the war in Gaza.

24 -year -old Okana and 36 -year -old Bohabot were abducted by the Music Festivan Nova in southern Israel when Hamas launched her attack on Israeli territory on October 7, 2023. Both have appeared in other videos published by Hamas.

Of the 251 hostages that Hamas grabbed that day, 58 remain in Gaza and 34 of them are dead, according to the Israeli army. Hamas also holds the body of an Israeli soldier killed in previous clashes in the Gaza Strip in 2014.

On Wednesday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed doubts about the fate of three hostages that until then were still considered alive. “We know for sure that 21 hostages are alive (…) there are three others for which unfortunately we do not know if they are alive,” he said in a video message, without revealing the names of the three.
