The Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated on Wednesday that its head Hamas to Gauze; Mohammadone of the most wanted and youngest brother of the deadly leader of the organization, Yahia Sinuar, was exterminated, according to Reuters.

Earlier, in mid -May, Minister of Defense Israel Kats told the Kneset Foreign Affairs Committee that there were increasing evidence that Sinuar was dead. Kats had made the statement after IDF sources told the Jerusalem Post that they still do not confirm foreign reports that Sinuar’s corpse had been found along with about twelve assistants, including the body of the potential successor to Sinuar, the Chief of the Brigade. Sources had told the Jerusalem Post that Hamas’ two top leaders were together, making it very likely that both are dead.

On May 13, at least 28 people were killed due to Israeli bumps near a hospital in Han Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip. The Israeli Armed Forces (IDF) confirmed the blows to the site. According to information reported by Israeli media, this business aims to exterminate Mohammed Sinuar. However, his death had not been confirmed so far by Israel.

Hamas has not yet confirmed the death of Mohammed Sinuar, which would leave his close partner Izz al-Din Haddad, who is currently overseeing businesses in northern Gaza, head of Hamas’s armed wing.

Mohammed Sinuar rose to Hamas’ leadership last year, after Israel killed his brother Yahai in a battle during the Gaza war. Yahhi Sinuar designed the attack on Israel in October 2023 that caused the war and later appointed Hamas’s general leader after Israel killed his predecessor Ismail Haniya in Iran.

It is not clear how the death of Mohammed Sinuar, if confirmed by Hamas, will affect the decision -making overall in the organization – for example, if his death will reinforce or reduce the influence of exiled members of the Hamas Leadership Council on decision -making.

Hamas officials describe Sinuar and Haddad as “ghosts” who have long fooled Israel’s intelligence services.

Like his brother Yama, Mohammed had survived many Israeli assassination attempts, including air raids, Hamas sources said.

When Sinuar once visited a cemetery, his comrades discovered that a remote -controlled explosive device had been placed along his journey, according to Hamas sources.

In 2003, Hamas agents discovered a bomb mounted on the wall of Mohammed Sinuar’s house, preventing an assassination attempt, with Hamas blaming Israeli intelligence services.

Known for secret operations, Mohammed Sinuar played a central role in the design and execution of Hamas’ attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, Hamas sources said.

It is also widely believed that he was one of the brains of the 2006 cross -border attack and the abduction of Israeli soldier Gilad Salit. Hamas held Salit for five years before exchanging him with more than 1,000 Palestinians held in Israel. According to the agreement, his brother Yama Sinuar, whose meticulous planning for the attack of 2023 rejected Israel’s reputation as an unbeaten force in a hostile area, was among those who were released.

The Sinuar originally came from Asqalan – the present -day Israeli city of Ashkelon – and became refugees like hundreds of thousands of other Palestinians in what they call Nakba, or destruction, at the birth of Israel during the 1948 war.

Mohammed Sinuaro was educated in schools managed by the UN Palestinian Relief Service (UNRWA), which has long been tense relationships with Israel, including during the current war in Gaza.

He joined Hamas shortly after her founding, influenced by his brother Yaha, a former member of the Muslim Brotherhood, the older and once with the most influence of Islamic team in the Middle East.

His reputation as a hard -core helped him climb to the military classes of the organization and until 2005 was the head of Hamas’s Hamas Brigade. The unit, one of the largest and most powerful parts of Hamas’s armed wing, was responsible for cross -border attacks, rocket launching and mounting bombs along the border.
