US Minister of Finance Scott Besed said on Thursday that commercial partners, including Japan, are continuing to negotiate with the US in good faith and that there has been no change in their stance since the US Commercial Court has ruled against the latest duties.

US Commercial Partners “They are trying good to complete the agreements before the end of the 90 -day pause”said Bessed. “Therefore, we have not seen any change in their attitude in the last 48 hours. In fact, tomorrow morning a very large Japanese delegation is expected in my office, “he added.

Possible Communication Trump-Si

Bessed also referred to US trade talks with China: “Negotiations have ‘swam’ and reaching an agreement will probably require the immediate involvement of President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jing,” said.

Two weeks after major negotiations led by Bessed, which led to a temporary truce in the trade war between the world’s two largest economies, Bessed told Fox News that progress was slow since then, but said he was expecting more talks in the coming weeks.

“I believe that at some point we may have a telephone conversation between President Trump and the Chairman XI”said Bessed.

“Given the size of the talks, given the complexity … This will require both leaders to express their views on each other”he said. “They have a good relationship and I am sure the Chinese will come to the negotiating table when President Trump announces his preferences.”
