US President Donald Trump and his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jing, have agreed to meet a new meeting of the two countries’ negotiating groups to resolve their trade disputes.

Trump announced in a post that there will soon be a meeting between the two negotiating groups, at a site to be announced. The United States will be represented by Finance Minister Scott Bessed, Commerce Minister Howard Lutnik and US Commercial Representative, Ambassador Jameson Green.

The US president said the telephone conversation with, Xi Jing, focused on the details of the recent trade agreement concluded by the two countries.

According to him, the conversation lasted about ninety minutes and resulted in a very positive result for both sides, especially on the crucial issue of rare earths, for which “there should be no questions about their complexity”.

During the debate, the Chinese president invited Donald Trump and the First Lady to visit China, an invitation that, as Trump said, was happy. “As presidents of two great nations, it is something that we both look forward to,” he said.

The debate, according to the US president, focused exclusively on trade, without raising issues concerning Russia, Ukraine or Iran.

Information on the date and location of the forthcoming meeting is expected to be given to the media soon, Trump said.
