At least 13 soldiers were killed in suicide attack made this morning in the northwest Pakistanofficials of local authorities and security services told the French Agency.

“Suicide bomber threw his explosive vehicle trapped in a hunger” in Hibber Pachunhva province on the border with Afghanistan, a local authorities who wanted to maintain anonymity. “Thirteen soldiers were killed and 29 people were injured, including 10 soldiers and 19 civilians,” he said.

One resident said the explosion had shook the windows of the adjacent houses and caused some roofs to collapse.

No one has taken responsibility so far.

The Pakistani army did not respond to Reuters’ request for commentary.

The area has long been a safe haven for various Islamic fighter groups, which act on both sides of the border.

Islamabad says fighters maintain training camps in Afghanistan to launch attacks inside Pakistan, a category that Kabul refuses.

The Pakistanis Taliban, also known as Tehreek-E-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), a bomb-bomb group of many Islamist fighter teams, have long been fighting a war against Pakistan to overthrow the government and replace it with their own Islamic system.

The Pakistani army, who has launched several attacks on the fighters, was mostly their primary goal.
