A new, backed by the United States, a proposal for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, provides for 60 days, with a gradual release of hostages, withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza sections and launching negotiations to end the conflict, according to Reuters.

The plan is also examined by the parties involved with the United States, Qatar and Egypt having a mediation role, making efforts to reach an agreement.

  • Day 1: 8 hostages

Exchanges will be made without public ceremonies or parades.

On the 10th day, Hamas will provide information on the situation of all other hostages, alive and dead, with medical data, while Israel will inform Palestinian prisoners since October 7, 2023.

Hamas will release hostages in exchange for the liberation of the Palestinians held by Israel.

Israel says that of the 50 hostages held by Hamas and its allies, about 20 is believed to be alive.

Humanitarian aid

Aid to Gaza will enter directly in sufficient quantities with the UN and the Red Cross, according to the January 19 agreement.

Departure of Israeli forces

On the first day, after the liberation of the eight hostages, the Israeli army will retire from areas of the northern part of Gaza, according to the maps that have been agreed.

On the seventh day, after receiving the five bodies, Israel will retire from parts of the south of Gaza, based on the corresponding maps.
