In the defense of Zaire Bolsonaru, Donald Trump rushed with a new post on the Truth Social platform, stressing that the former Brazilian president fell victim to “a witch hunt” and is “guilty of being fought for him.”

In detail the US president said:

Brazil is doing something terrible in dealing with former President Zaire Bolsonaru. I watch, like the rest of the world, do nothing more than chasing him, day by day, night by night, month by month, year by year! He is not guilty of anything except that he fought for the people. I met Zaire Bolsonaru and was a powerful leader who really loved his country – also a very tough trade negotiator. The elections were very close and now precedes polls. This is nothing more or less than an attack on a political opponent – I know a lot for attacks! It happened 10 times and now our country is the most “sought after” in the world! The great people of Brazil will not tolerate what they are doing to their former president. I will closely watch the witch hunt of Zaire Bolsonaru, his family and his thousands of supporters, very closely. The only trial to be done is a trial by Brazilian voters – is called elections. Leave the bolts quiet!

Why Bolsonaru is accused

The former 70 -year -old president is accused of being the “leader of a criminal organization” who has conspired to remain in power after the October 2022 presidential election, won by center -left current President Luis Inasiou Lula.

By 2030 he has been deprived of the right to be elected in the context of another case and is now at risk of being sentenced to even 40 years of prison. However, he is a victim of a “political persecution” in order to prevent him from running in next year’s presidential election.

In mid -June, the judicial cluster tightened even more about himself and his environment: the federal police suggested that one of his sons, Charles, be brought to trial, at the expense of which he was suspected of being involved in a network of illegal espionage during his term.

According to the researchers, it was the “basic recipient” of information detached and was at the “Center of Decisions” for persons who were targeted by a “parallel structure” at the Brazilian Information Service Abin.

Since the launch of former President Bolsonaru’s judicial adventures, various mobilizations have been organized, but their involvement has been shrinking in recent months.

According to calculations from the University of San Paulo, some 45,000 people took part in the most recent demonstration on Paulista Avenue in April, in other words, more than February (185,000).

“We have to talk about freedom and advocate for peace,” said the commander in San Paulo Tarkiziou Ji Freitas, who intends to participate in today’s demonstration.

Former Minister Bolsonaru is among the names that are most heard in the debate on the candidacy of the Conservative Camp in the face of the 2026 presidential election.

The far -right former president, however, has not been in favor of any potential candidate, at least to date, as he is still hoping that he will succeed in annulled the ban on a law enforced by justice.
