During the trial, which was postponed several times since it began, Netanyahu said he did not commit any illegal act. Its supporters believe that the process is politically motivated.

As he attended the hearing today, Haccabi wrote on the X platform that he draws a “conclusion”: Donald Trump “is right again”.

In his publication, Haccabi republished Trump’s statements, according to which the trial is “a political hunt”, which “is very similar to the witch hunt I had to suffer”.

Trump has been accusing his opponents for years of using the US Department of Justice to target him.

In 2024, the billionaire Republican was found guilty of 34 accounting documents for falsification of accounting documents with the aim of hiding a payment to Stormi Daniels in order to avoid a sexual scandal at the time of his 2016 election campaign.

Two federal lawsuits were also pending against Trump, one of them accused of illegal efforts to overthrow the 2020 election results.

In Israel, Netanyahu and his wife Sarah are accused of accepting luxury items of more than $ 260,000, such as cigars, jewelry and champagne from billionaires in exchange for political grace.

In the other two cases, Netanyahu is accused of attempting to negotiate a more favorable coverage in two Israeli media.

During her current term, which began in late 2022, the Netanyahu government proposed major judicial reforms which, according to its critics, were designed to weaken the courts. These proposals caused huge protests that were interrupted only after the start of the war in Gaza.
