The “oldest baby” in the world was born in the US by a fetus that had been frozen in 1994for more than 31 years, setting a new world record.

35 -year -old Lindsay and 34 -year -old Tim Pierce welcomed their son, Daniel Pierce, last Saturday, July 26 in Ohio using one ‘Adopted’ fetus by 62 -year -old Linda Archerd.

It is believed to be the longest period of freezing a fetus before it was born. The previous record holder was a couple of twins born in 2022 to embryos that had been frozen in 1992.

The Pierce was trying to have a child for seven years before deciding to adopt the fetus that 62 -year -old Linda gave birth to her then husband in 1994 through IVF. In the early 1990s, Linda Archer and her husband decided to test IVF (IVF) as they had difficulty becoming parents in a normal way. In 1994, Four embryos emerged: One was transferred to Archer and led to the birth of her 30 -year -old daughter today who in turn is the mother of a 10 -year -old child. The other three embryos were cryopred and stored.

And despite the fact that Archerd separated from her husband, she did not want to get rid of the embryos, donate them for research or give them to another family anonymous. She paid thousands of dollars a year to store embryos until she found a Christian fetal adoption agency, Nightlight Christian Adoptions, which manages a program known as snowflakes.

ARCHERD preferred a married couple of Caucasians, Christians living in the US, as they do not want the embryos to “leave the country”, as she told MIT Technology Review.

Eventually, chose the Pierce. Lindsay, 35, said she had a difficult birth “but now we are both good. It’s so calm. We are excited to have this precious baby. “

Archerd said: ‘The first thing I noticed when Lindsay sent me his photos is how much it looks like my daughter when she was a baby. I got the album from when my daughter was a baby and compared them and there is no doubt that they are brothers. ” She has not yet seen the baby up close, but she could already distinguish a similarity with her daughter.
