A powerful wave of bad weather has been scanning much of Italy in recent hours, causing extensive floods, infrastructure disasters and property disasters, as well as power outages.

The situation is particularly difficult in northern and central Italy with authorities making “superhuman efforts” to shield as much as possible in the city’s infrastructure, on the sidelines of heavy rainfall.

In the Veneto region, the biggest problems are recorded in Venice, and in particular in the municipalities of Spinea, Miraano, Mestan and Margotra, which have been severely affected by floods.

Many underground crossings have become lakes, causing traffic congestion and risks to citizens.

In Padua, flooding and significant damage occurred in the areas of Kassale Di Skodosia, Merlara, Villafranka Padovana and Mesterino.

Over 130 calls for help were received by the Fire Service, which performed at least 30 operations for pumping water and removing fallen trees.

A similar picture is recorded in the south of Milan, especially in the Lakkiarella area, where the roads were flooded with the height of the water reaching up to 40 cm.

Firefighters were called upon to remove water from basements and liberate central roads from obstacles.

In the city of Prato, strong winds and thunderstorms caused tree and branches, resulting in damage to cars and roofs of apartment buildings.

Strong hailstorms and thunderstorms also hit the city of Viterbo, with floods, power holidays and serious road problems.

Central spots, such as Piazza Verdi, turned into rapids, while large tree branches fell on the road.

In the wider area of ​​Rome, more than 100 firefighters were mobilized to remove trees, dangerous objects and damage to damage.

The southeastern districts of the capital, as well as the seaside zone between Frezenia and Ostia, are among the most affected areas.

Due to the deterioration of the weather, the authorities have declared orange alarm for a high risk in five regions of the country.
