The State Department announced on Thursday that it is considering the records of more than 55 million foreigners holding valid US visas for possible withdrawal or violations of expulsion rules.

In a written answer to a question asked by the Associated Press, the ministry said that all US visa owners are subject to “continuous control” in order to identify any evidence that could make them unmistakable for the document.

If such information is identified, the visa will be revoked and, if the visa holder is in the United States, it will be subject to deportation.

The ministry said it is looking for evidence of non -eligibility, such as illegal stay after visa, criminal activity, threats to public security, participation in any form of terrorist activity or supporting a terrorist organization.

“We are considering all available information in our audit, including the law enforcement files or immigration or any other information coming to light after visa issuing and indicate possible non -eligibility,” the ministry said.
