FBI agents raided the home of John Bolton, former Donald Trump’s national security adviser during his first term and current criticism, on Friday morning as part of a national security investigation as Nypost reveals.

Federal agents stormed into Bolton’s home in Maryland’s Bethentae at 7am, local time, at the behest of FBI director Ms Patel, a Trump government official told Nypost.

“No one is above the law … FBI agents on a mission”He said in an enigmatic post on the X platform shortly after the start of the raid, the FBI manager.

The investigation – allegedly related to classified documents – began for the first time years ago, but the Biden government closed it “for political reasons”, according to a senior US official.

Bolton has previously been accused of including classified information in his book in 2020, “The room where it happened”.

Trump struggled to cancel his publication due to the inclusion of national secrets, but eventually failed.

The Ministry of Justice of its first term launched an investigation into the book in September 2020.

The former Trump adviser is in a dispute with his old boss ever since, regularly appearing in television bulletins criticizing the President’s national security and foreign policy.

Just a short time ago, Bolton had written to X commenting on the issue of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine: “Russia has not changed its goal: to drag Ukraine into a new Russian Empire. Moscow has demanded Ukraine to grant territories that already possess Donetsk’s rest, which has not managed to conquer. Zelenski will never do it. In the meantime, meetings will continue because Trump wants a Nobel Peace Prize, but I don’t see these conversations promoting. “
