Moscow: Fake news Russia’s war crimes – “set up” by the West and Ukraine

by

Moscow said today that the United States and Britain were helping Ukraine prepare false allegations about the alleged persecution of civilians in Ukraine in order to feed the international media in an attempt to slander Russia.

Ever since Russian troops withdrew from towns and villages around the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, Ukrainian troops have been showing reporters the bodies of civilians killed by Russian forces, damaged homes and burned cars.

The West says the dead civilians are evidence of war crimes. Reuters reporters saw corpses in the town of Butsa, but could not independently verify who was responsible for the killings.

The Russian Defense Ministry said the Ukrainian government was being led by the United States to spread false evidence of Russian violence against civilians, despite what it described as “Moscow’s unprecedented measures to rescue civilians.”

“The United States, which has many years of experience in organizing provocations with human victims, is continuing its campaign to create and propagate false ‘evidence,'” the ministry said.

Ukraine has blamed Russia for the genocide and called on the West and NATO’s military alliance to provide more support.

Moscow says British intelligence is helping Ukraine prepare new false allegations of alleged abuses in northeastern Ukraine. The Department of Defense did not provide evidence for its allegations of British and American involvement.

“New false-directed provocations accusing the armed forces of the Russian Federation of allegedly barbaric treatment of the Ukrainian population are being prepared by the Kiev regime led by the British special services in the territory of the Sumy region,” the ministry said.

Russia says Western journalists have been invited to the Sumy region of northeastern Ukraine to “film staged battlefields.” The ministry said Western media outlets would soon release such false news. He did not say which media.

“The aim is to further incite Russophobia in the context of the rapidly growing economic crisis in Europe,” the ministry said.
