A 91-year-old woman survived him Holocaust died while taking refuge from Russian forces in her besieged city Mariupolas reported by the Jewish website Chabad.
Vanda Semyonova Obiedkovaand her family moved to a basement when Russian forces began to bomb Mariupol– which continues to face the main burden of Russian aggression.
He died on April 4 after spent weeks without water or heating.
Larissa’s daughter said sadly that her mother had spent the last two weeks of her life frozen and unable to stand.
“Mom did not deserve such a death,” he said
Larissa went on to say that she spent all her time caring for her mother, but “there was nothing we could do about her”, adding that her family “lived like animals”.
“There was no water, no electricity, no heat — and it was unbearably cold,” he said.
Mrs. Obiedkova, who was born in Mariupol on December 8, was only ten years old when the Nazis entered the city in 1941.
When SS troops came to her house and arrested her mother, she managed to escape hidden in a basement.
