A powerful explosion took place on Friday afternoon at a varnish and paint factory in Tuzla, in the industrial zone of Istanbul, resulting in, according to the Turkish media, losing their lives. three people and nine injured.
The explosion was preceded by a fire in the factory.
Quoting photos of the damaged factory, the mayor of Istanbul Ekrem Imamoglou expressed his condolences for the dead and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
