What is the “Green two-speed vaccinated pass” requested by the governors in Italy

by

Most northern Italian governors continue to call for new measures against the coronavirus.

According to the press, during the meeting of the regional dialogue committee with the government, the adoption of a “green vaccinated pass” of two speeds was requested – that is, the vaccinated citizens can with their pass have full access to all workplaces, entertainment, catering and culture.

In contrast, for residents of the country who have not been vaccinated and receive the pass only for 48 hours after a negative diagnostic test, the governors of the most affluent areas of Italy are calling for a reduction in the possibility of free movement indoors.

In this way, the transmission of the virus could be kept under control and other citizens, who until now had reservations, could be encouraged to be vaccinated, say the local authorities.

The aim of the leaders of the Italian regions is to avoid the general closure of commercial activities and not to hinder the economic recovery in their regions.

Undersecretary of Health Andrea Costa, finally, in a statement on Rai radio, stressed: “Italy was the first country to adopt compulsory vaccination for health professionals. “Now one has to wonder if the same needs to be done with the categories of workers who are in constant contact with the public, such as the police, the carabinieri, the army and those employed in large commercial enterprises.”
