Informal meeting of Foreign Ministers of NATO member stateswhich will be attended by Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias, will take place on Saturday and Sunday in Berlin, at the invitation of German Foreign Minister Analena Berbock and his Secretary General of the Alliance Jens Stoltenberg.

According to Deputy Foreign Ministry spokesman Andrea Zasethe informal framework of the meeting aims to consciously differentiate itself from the formal framework so far and, as he pointed out, among other things, much smaller, confidential formats have been provided for direct talks.

“The informal framework serves, inter alia, the goal of strengthening NATO’s political dimension and political consultation”stressed Mrs. Zase.

The meeting will start with a working dinner on Saturday, to which the Foreign Ministers of Finland and Sweden have also been invited, and will continue on Sunday.

Previously, from tomorrow until Saturday, Analena Berbock will chair the G7 Council of Foreign Ministers, which will take place at the Schleswig-Holstein Weissenhaus on the Baltic Sea coast. The focus of the talks will be the war in Ukraine and in this context Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba has been invited to participate.
