The current secretary of Infrastructure Development at the Ministry of Economy, Alexandre Ywata, was promoted to the post of special secretary for Productivity and Competitiveness of the ministry this Wednesday (6).
Ywata is part of the musical chairs that started with the scandal involving allegations of sexual abuse by the then president of Caixa Econômica Federal, Pedro Guimarães. He will occupy the post left in the secretariat by Daniella Marques, who assumed the presidency of Caixa in place of Guimarães.
The appointment by the Minister of Economy, Paulo Guedes, was published in the Official Gazette this Wednesday.
A career server at IPEA (Institute of Applied Economic Research), Ywata holds a master’s degree in statistics from the University of Brasília and a PhD in statistics from Northwestern University (USA).
The new special secretary was also president of Caixa Participações and held command positions at Caixa Econômica Federal.
