During a lunch with supporters of Gerando Falcões this Thursday (1st), Edu Lyra, founder of the NGO, managed to raise R$ 90 thousand with an improvised auction of two tennis rackets used by businessman Jorge Paulo Lemann.
The idea started last week, at another Gerando Falcões event, when rackets signed by tennis players Roger Federer and Serena Williams were auctioned.
One of the businessmen present suggested the auction of a racket autographed by Lemann, but the dispute yielded two bids of R$45,000 at the same time. Then, Edu Lyra suggested to Lemann that he autograph two of his rackets.
The billionaire pledged to send them within 15 days.
