UnitedHealth Group, owner of Amil, announced this Tuesday (4) that the company’s CEO in Brazil, José Carlos Magalhães, will retire, and the position will be closed in the country.
With the closure of the post, each business unit of the company will have its own CEO. All of them now report directly to the headquarters in the United States.
Magalhães worked at the group for 38 years and has been CEO of Brazil since 2019.
The move comes amid failed attempts to sell Amil by UnitedHealth.
