Hatzidakis: Positive developments for the reduction of unemployment despite successive crises

The Minister of Labor comments on the ELSTAT results on his personal Facebook account

“My only comment on the reduction in unemployment, as recorded by ELSTAT, is that it happened in the midst of two crises: the coronavirus and energy. The conclusion is yours to make!” comments the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Kostis Hatzidakisin a message on his personal social media account.

Specifically, Mr. Hatzidakis states the following:

“I quote what ELSTAT says:

– The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in September 2022 was 11.8% compared to an upwardly revised 13.3% in September 2021 and a downwardly revised 12.1% in August 2022.

– The employed amounted to 4,149,663 people, marking an increase of 83,545 people compared to September 2021 (+2.1%) and by 43,487 people compared to August 2022 (+1.1%).

– The unemployed amounted to 556,324 people, marking a decrease of 65,121 people compared to September 2021 (-10.5%) and by 8,449 people compared to August 2022 (-1.5%).
