A black woman who tried on clothes in the dressing room of a Renner store, in Madureira Shopping, in Rio de Janeiro, says she was a victim of racism practiced by an employee of the unit. The incident took place on Saturday afternoon (12).

The woman’s relatives and store customers filmed the confusion and posted the videos on social media. According to reports from the victim’s cousin, shared on social media, the employee would have coerced the woman to open the bag, after claiming that she had stolen an item of clothing from the store.

By means of a note, Renner considered the episode “unacceptable” and informed that the employee was fired.

“My cousin was in the dressing room at Renner when, suddenly, an employee came in, coercing her, pushing her against the wall, ordering her to take everything she ‘took’. , said the victim’s cousin, in the publication.

According to the report, the coat that the woman carried in her bag was a brand not sold in the store and that would have been used for a long time.

“Is it over there [vítima] Said the coat was from Redley. The woman said no, that it was from Renner and that she had stolen it. He pushed her, threw the bag on the floor and when he looked at the tag, and saw that it really was from Redley, he said that he had only gone to talk to her to deliver the card.
