Declining since March, positive tests for Covid-19 in pharmacies fell 30% in November from the previous month, according to Abrafarma (Brazilian Association of Pharmacy and Drugstore Chains).
There were 37.9 thousand diagnoses, compared to 53,900 in October. The percentage of positive results over total assistance dropped from 10.6% to 9% on the same basis of comparison.
The first results collected in December indicate that the downward trend should continue. Of the 95,600 tests carried out until the 5th of this month, around 8,600 were positive, says the organization.
Since the service began to be offered, in April of last year, pharmacies have carried out more than 12 million rapid tests, including tests for antigens and antibodies and the PCR type.
