Stock prices closed slightly lower in today’s (Thursday) session of the Stock Exchange, with investors proceeding with liquidations to secure part of the high profits they achieved in the previous period.

The market corrected after eight bullish sessions during which the main stock index had total gains of 5.42%.

The General Price Index closed at 1,269.07 points, down 0.43%. Intra-sessionally it recorded a lower price at 1,263.39 points (-0.87%).

The value of the transactions amounted to 91.15 million euros, while 22,025,271 shares were traded.

The large-cap index fell 0.30%, while the mid-cap index fell 0.75%.

Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Viohalco (+1.15%), Eurobank (+0.95%), Quest Participations (+0.80%) and PPA (+0.74 %).

On the contrary, the biggest drop was recorded by the shares of Aegean Airlines (-2.14%), Lamda Development (-1.89%), Alpha Bank (-1.28%) and Sarantis (-1.28%).

Of the individual indices, the Health (+1.41%) and Raw Materials (+0.81%) indices recorded the greatest increase, while the Trade (-2.51%) and Real Estate (-1.70%).

The largest volume of transactions was presented by Alpha Bank and Piraeus, trading 5,710,430 and 3,764,954 shares, respectively.

The highest transaction value was recorded by Piraeus with 11.30 million euros and Jumbo with 9.16 million euros.

39 stocks moved up, 66 down and 20 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Mathios Pyrimaha +13.00% and VIS +10.00%.

The biggest drop was recorded by the shares: Intralot -5.97% and Kecrops -5.11%.
