SA Panel: Demand for telemedicine for children starts to fall after race with omicron

by

After a strong period of acceleration, the demand for teleconsultations for children shows a downward trend.

At Einstein, the first half of February had around 2,260 remote pediatric visits. If it continues at this pace, it will close the month below the nearly 5,400 registered in the entire month of January.

The number still surpasses the levels of November, when the escalation began, after the arrival of the Omicron variant in the country.

Grupo Conexa, a company specializing in teleservice, also recorded a drop in the number of consultations for children, especially those related to Covid. Until Sunday (20), more than 2,200 consultations were related to the symptoms of coronavirus. While in January, there were more than 6,000.
