The stock market was still under strong pressure today, falling below the level of 870 points, amid a negative climate in European markets. Banking shares and Coca Cola HBC were at the center of the liquidations, while the shares of OPAP and OTE gave support to the market.
During the last two sessions, the main stock index has recorded total losses of 6.55%, while the total market capitalization has decreased by 4.286 billion euros.
The General Price Index closed at 866.48 points, down 2.82%. Intra-conference, it recorded a lower price at 859.21 points (-3.63%).
The value of transactions amounted to 108.02 million euros, while 53,372,229 shares were traded.
The large-cap index declined by 2.90%, while the mid-cap index declined by 2.10%.
Of the high-capitalization shares, the largest increase was recorded by the shares of OPAP (+ 1.62%), OTE (+ 0.79%) and Quest Holdings (+ 0.44%).
On the contrary, the biggest drop was recorded by the shares of Piraeus (-8.19%), Alpha Bank (-6.35%), Coca Cola HBC (-6.04%), Ethniki (-5.76%) and Saranti (-5.52%).
Of the sub-indices, the largest increase was recorded by the indices of Travel (+ 1.16%) and Telecommunications (+ 0.78%), while the largest losses were recorded by the indices of Food (-5.94%) and Banks. (-5.78%).
Alpha Bank Eurobank presented the largest volume of transactions, circulating 15,996,645 and 11,822,218 shares, respectively.
The highest value of transactions was recorded by NBG with 19.439 million euros and Alpha Bank with 18.420 million euros.
20 stocks moved higher, 103 declined and 13 remained unchanged.
The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Epsilonet + 4.98% and General Trade + 3.46%.
The biggest drop was recorded by the shares: Frigoglass -15.56% and Progressive -11.98%.
