According to today’s announcement by the company, Iktinos marbles already have a significant presence in the Middle East, as the white Thassos marble has – among others – been used in the Great Mosque of Mecca and Medina in Saudi Arabia, the Thassos marble adorns the “Dubai Mall ” in the United Arab Emirates and Nestos marble, the business building “ICD Brookfield Place” and the Ministry of Interior in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, while the “Golden Spider” marble has been used in the “Emirates Palace” in Abu Dhabi.

Recently, the company participated in the “Big 5 Global”, the leading exhibition for the construction and materials industry, which took place in Dubai with the participation of more than 2,500 exhibitors, of which 50 were Greek companies. At the Iktinos stand, all the marbles that the company extracts from its quarries were presented, of which there was considerable interest in both of the company’s new types of marble, “Erato White” and “Leva Grey”.

The company’s executives welcomed more than 150 visitors to the exhibition from 16 different countries, mainly from the Middle East, among them were marble traders, architects, builders and interior designers. The Iktinos stand was also visited by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, responsible for Economic Diplomacy and External Affairs, Kostas Fragogiannis, as well as the ambassador of the Hellenic Republic to the United Arab Emirates, Antonis Alexandridis, with whom the possibilities of strengthening the company’s export activity were discussed, but and more generally of the Greek marble industry.
