Ivana Trump, the businesswoman and first wife of former President Donald Trump, died after falling down the stairs, the New York City medical examiner’s office revealed Friday afternoon. The 73-year-old’s official cause of death is listed as blunt force trauma to her chest. Her fall has been ruled an accident.
THE Ivana Trump was found unconscious in a stairwell at her Upper East Side home on Thursday, NYPD officials confirmed to People. Toxicology reports and details about what may have preceded the fall have not yet been released.
Giuliano Giuliani, the owner of a local restaurant Ivana frequented says she was not feeling well when she stopped by with a friend two weeks ago. “He didn’t seem to be in good shape. He was struggling to walk. She didn’t eat her food, she took it home with herZuliani says, noting that even so she remained polite.
Before her sudden death, Ivana was preparing for a summer getaway, her best friend said Nikki Haskell on ‘Page Six’.”He would leave for St. Tropez. Donald Trump first announced her death in a post on his social media site Truth Social, calling her a “wonderful, beautiful and amazing woman who lived a great and inspiring life.”
Her daughter, 40-year-old Ivanka, posted a touching tribute to her mother on Instagram, with photos of his family moments and writing in the caption: “Devastated by my mother’s death. Mom was brilliant, charming, passionate and incredibly funny. She was a model of strength, perseverance and determination in her every act. She lived life to the fullest and never missed an opportunity to laugh and dance».
