‘Everything is a marketing ploy’, says MC Melody about beef with Anitta

by

MC Melody, 15, used social media on Tuesday (19) to deny a fight with Anitta, 29. The singer shared several videos in Instagram stories and surprised by praising the performer of the hit “Envolver”. She also explained that the confusion of the last few days was a marketing ploy of the two famous.

“I don’t have a fight with Anitta. I’m a fan of hers just like you. Sometimes we make fun of each other a little. But I have a great admiration for her, and I believe she has a little for me. Me and Anitta make this joke more because of a marketing ploy. Everything is a marketing ploy. We have no bullshit”, begins Melody, who also denied that the video for her song “Dangerous Assault” was off the air on digital platforms because of the disagreement between the singers.

With the repercussion of the discussion between Melody and Anitta, some followers of the international star of national funk began to mark the label responsible for the song “Positions”, which Melody was inspired by and did not give credit. Nija Charles, one of the songwriters of the song performed by Ariana Grande, heard about the beef and soon after the video for “Dangerous Assault” was removed from YouTube.

“No one took down my song. When I released the song, about five months ago, I took it off the air myself. I was afraid. I took it off the channel with 30 million views. I took it off a long time ago. (…) The composer didn’t even talked about me. She just wanted the credits and I already gave the credits. They’re in the air. Don’t attack her before researching. Regardless of everything, she was sweet to me “, asked MC Melody.

Hours later, Nija denied Melody. “I’ve never talked to her, who has to credit the writers and share the money she’s made from the music. Stuff like that happens all the time, but you have to clarify. It’s okay to cover songs on YouTube and SoundCloud, but when you put them on streaming platforms, you have to credit and share the profit. Maybe she doesn’t know,” the songwriter began.

“I’m not mad at Melody and a minor shouldn’t be attacked. I’m just letting you know that this music story is still unresolved, but I’m sure it will be,” added Nija Charles.
