MTV Meow: MC Soffia accuses organization of racism by not receiving food or water

Rapper MC Soffia, who was running at MTV Miaw 2022 for the award in the Black Star Rising category for BET, said she did not receive water, food or a chair and called the organization of the event racist.

In a series of videos on social networks, he began to show what was happening behind the scenes of the awards and told about his case. “I thought I was going to have food and drinks, I came without any bag”, she began before asking if those who competed for a prize were entitled to win something, “a drink or popcorn at least”.

With the denial, Soffia began to get more nervous. “Everyone standing up. For me there is no chair, for other artists there is. But that’s ok […] I wasn’t born to be in the box, I wasn’t born to be with all these artists, right? I’m going back to my house”, replied the artist.

After arriving home, the rapper said this wouldn’t have been the first time she’s been “humiliated by MTV”. “It’s enough for me, it’s over. There are black people who were nominated and not even an invitation won. We have to open our mouths because silence doesn’t win”, he amended.

Disgusted, the singer said that she was sent to the dance floor, had no food, no comfort and that “everyone is racist”. “We have more and more to get stronger. Thank you to everyone who is sharing and giving me strength. Other nominated artists had a box, food. I don’t deserve to go through this.”

Podcaster Tata Estaniecki, who was in the running for the Dupla de Millions award, was not invited to attend the event either.
