The nursing home admitted that the dancer’s actions were “overly enthusiastic” and that they will be “more careful” when planning such events in the future
The original idea that a nursing home in Taiwan had to entertain its inmates didn’t… go too well.
This nursing home was forced to apologize after putting a… young stripper to dance for elderly people in wheelchairs.
The Taoyuan Veterans Home a government facility for retired soldiers in Tawain paid the girl to dance to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival – an important holiday in Chinese culture.
The video that came to light from the show, did not take long to go viral. The dancer wearing lacy underwear is seen dancing to an elderly man, who was grabbing her breasts.
The seniors in attendance may have been visibly enjoying the show, but obviously there were reactions for these images.
Naturally, the apology from the nursing home followed: “The purpose of the event was to entertain them and make them happy. We are very sorry for the offense caused.”
A nursing home representative added that Mid-Autumn Festival parties had been canceled at the nursing home in previous years due to the COVID pandemic. To cheer up those staying there, they arranged for the stripper to perform.
However, they admitted that the dancer’s actions were “overly enthusiastic” and that they will be “more careful” when planning such events in the future.
