Asked by Jimmy Kimmel if he would consider getting US citizenship ‘Yeah, absolutely, yeah man, why not’

Famous Canadian actor Keanu Reeves has revealed that he would consider becoming an American citizen, 37 years after he first moved to Hollywood aged just 20

Speaking on Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night talk show, the Lebanese-born John Wick star recalled growing up in Toronto and wanting to be an actor since he was 15.

“I came to Hollywood when I was 20, I drove in my car,” she told the host. “I’ve lived here since 1985.”

Kimmel chimed in: “However, technically, you’re not a US citizen.”

When asked if he thought about going through with naturalization, Reeves replied: “Yeah, absolutely, yeah man, why not.”

Jimmy Kimmel then pulled the citizenship papers out from under his desk and … joked that he’d be willing to marry Reeves to speed up the process.

“But you’re married,” said the 58-year-old actor.

Kimmel replied, “I know, but I told her we might have to make some amendments to our prenuptial agreement.”

In fact, the host said he will even throw a party on the show to celebrate if he goes through with the process.
