‘Face It Alone’, a gorgeous ballad, is the first Queen song in eight years to feature all four original band members
The opportunity to hear the “magic” for the first time Freddie Mercury in an unreleased Queen song-documentary they have millions of fans of the British band, but also of good music.
In 1988, Queen recorded 30 songs for their album “The Miracle”. But when the album came out the following year, they only included 14 of them. ‘Face It Alone’ is one of those songs that was never released – and until recently, the band thought it was lost.
As the band prepared to reissue ‘The Miracle’ later in the year, Queen’s production and archive team rediscovered ‘Face It Alone,’ guitarist Brian May explains in a statement. Last week, Queen released the song, which features vocals from their late singer, Freddie Mercury.
May initially believed that rescuing the recording would not be possible, but the band’s sound engineering team managed to create something from the archive material. “It’s like putting pieces together… but it’s beautiful, it’s moving,” Bria May told BBC Radio 2.
“Face It Alone,” a beautiful ballad, is the first Queen song in eight years to feature all four original members of the band: Freddie Mercury, Brian May, John Deacon and Roger Taylor, according to USA Today.
