Xuxa, 59, surprised her followers this Monday (24) by recalling an urban legend that involved her name in the 80s. At the time, the rumor spread that the presenter’s album would have hidden demonic messages, which would be heard when the LP was played from end to beginning.
She published a meme on the subject involving President Jair Bolsonaro (PL), candidate for reelection. “When you play Xuxa’s LP backwards”, read the caption of the image, in which the politician’s face was placed over the presenter’s body, dressed in the extravagant costumes of when she was in charge of children’s programs.
Below the meme, she also wrote “Hahaha, indicating that she had fun with the comparison. It’s worth remembering that, even though it was a joke, this was a subject that she didn’t comment publicly when it came up, either because she thought it was unnecessary or because people were afraid to ask.
However, Xuxa has shown that she is open to talking about topics that were previously taboo for her. Recently, she talked about the movie “Love, Strange Love” (1982), in which she appears in a sex scene with a teenager.
“First of all, I would like to tell you that whoever is speaking here is not that girl who was 18 years old and played the role of a 15 year old girl who was sold to a brothel to be given as a gift to a politician” , commented. “This movie was based on some stories and took place in the year 1939, 1940. And to this day we hear and see situations like these.”
The speech took place in a video, also published on social networks, in which she appears talking about a speech by the president about having “painted an atmosphere” with “little girls aged 14 or 15” during a visit to São Sebastião, in periphery of the Federal District. “Vote against this gentleman,” she asked.
The presenter recalled being a victim of sexual abuse and said she was “choked, disgusted and angry that no one is doing anything”. “Can he do it because he’s president? Can he do it because he’s a man?” she questioned.
