Madonna: Re-released ‘Back That Up To The Beat’ with video shot in Malawi

‘Back That Up To The Beat’ was originally released on her most recent album, ‘Madame X’, in 2019

The Madonna released the demo version of her song “Back That Up To The Beat”, with video shot in Malawi. The 64-year-old pop queen dances with children from Malawi, while members of her family also appear in the video.

The multi-Grammy award winning singer is a frequent visitor to Malawi and this time she returned to release her new song while supporting the Raising Malawi foundation.

“Back That Up To The Beat” was originally released on her most recent album, “Madame X,” in 2019. However, the song dates back to 2015.

In 2008, Madonna released the documentary I Am Because We Are, a film that chronicled the lives of orphans in Malawi, where an estimated 500,000 children have lost their parents to HIV and AIDS. At a screening of the film at Cannes in 2018, he said: “To say this film is a labor of love is an understatement. It’s the trip of a lifetime.”
