Clarke starred in GOT, portraying Daenerys Targaryen for eight seasons from 2011 to 2019.
“Game of Thrones” star Emilia Clarke has revealed that she is not watching HBO’s “Game of Thrones” spinoff series “House of the Dragon.”
Clarke starred in GOT, portraying Daenerys Targaryen for eight seasons from 2011 to 2019.
The 36-year-old actress told Variety during the Sundance Film Festival that she’s not watching the prequel show because it’s “too weird” for her.
“House of the Dragon” takes place over 200 years before the events of “Game of Thrones” and deals with the war between the rival factions of the Targaryen family.
The series is based on George RR Martin’s novel “Fire & Blood” and stars Paddy Considine, Emma D’Arcy, Matt Smith, Tom Glynn-Carney, Milly Alcock and Emily Carey.
“It’s so weird. I’m so happy it’s happening… I just can’t do it. It’s so weird,” Clarke told Variety while promoting her new comedy The Pod Generation.
“It’s so weird. It’s like someone asking you if you want to go to that school reunion that’s not your year. That’s kind of how I feel. I avoid it,” she explained.
