Kylie Jenner wears a fake lion head dress on the runway

Peta, an organization that protects the rights and welfare of animals, praised the black velvet dress with a giant and realistic head of a lion worn by model and socialite Kylie Jenner, at the fashion show of French fashion house Schiaparelli Haute Couture, in Paris, this Monday (23).

“Thank you Daniel Roseberry [diretor criativo da marca] and Schiaparelli for this very special morning. Wow, I loved using this hand-built faux art creation using man-made materials. Beautiful, “wrote Kylie in the caption of a series of photos wearing the dress that she published on Instagram.” My little lioness is so beautiful, “commented the model’s mother, businesswoman and socialite Kris Jenner.

The same dress worn by Kylie appeared on the catwalk itself with model Irina Shayk walking for the brand – which presented a collection with synthetic animal heads. Naomi Campbell rocked a long black coat with a wolf’s head.

Peta’s president, Ingrid Newkirk, called the three-dimensional animal heads in the Schiaparelli collection, which do not use fur or leather, as innovative. “Kylie, Naomi and Irina’s looks celebrate the beauty of wild animals and could be a statement against trophy hunting, in which lions and wolves are torn apart to satisfy human selfishness,” Newkirk told Page Six.

“We encourage everyone to embrace 100% cruelty-free designs that showcase human ingenuity and prevent animal suffering,” said Newkirk, encouraging Jenner and other celebrities to stretch their creativity and move away from clothing made from sheep’s wool or silk.
