The confusion involving Zé Neto, from the duo with Cristiano, and Anitta did not start last year before the presidential elections. The sertanejo revealed that the relationship recognized as “tense” with the funk artist is old and goes beyond the field of political differences between them. “I’m spiteful,” acknowledged the singer.
According to Zé Neto, it all started at a show that took place in João Monlevade, in Minas Gerais, a few years ago (he didn’t specify the date), when Anitta’s team borrowed equipment from the sertaneja duo. “Her technical team arrived and asked to change the whole montage, at the last minute. I called my producer, who said that it wasn’t to change anything. We were already borrowing everything. So, what did she do? She went there and played with everything off, didn’t turn anything on, didn’t use a lightbulb”, said the singer in an interview with the Chupim program, on Metropolina FM radio.
But, the disagreement continued. Still according to Zé Neto, the funkeira production team starred in another unpleasant situation because of an alleged loud sound in the duo’s dressing room. This already happened in Imperatriz, Maranhão, a little after the confusion in the city of Minas Gerais.
“They knocked on the door, very rudely, complaining about the sound and said that it was Anitta who was in the dressing room next door”, recalled the sertanejo. “There was still the van driver who asked if we were friends with Anitta because she was talking badly about us. She said that she had called us bad professionals. That stayed in my heart”.
Zé Neto also admitted that he was bothered by some of the singer’s lines, especially when they involved political and agricultural issues. He justified that at the time of the comment about Anitta’s intimate tattoo at a show in the city of Sorriso, Mato Grosso, in May last year, she was not well psychologically and was having problems with drinking.
Zé Neto replied to Anitta on stage and raised the controversy involving the Rouanet Law, an official mechanism to encourage culture that was heavily criticized by Bolsonaristas. The singer has always declared support for former president Jair Bolsonaro. “We are artists who do not depend on the Rouanet Law, our fee is paid by the people, we don’t need to get a tattoo on our t*** to show whether we are fine or not, we simply come here and sing”, said at the time.
The singer then took the opportunity to apologize publicly. “I apologize here, live, to all of Brazil. Anitta, don’t get me wrong. That’s why I believe that one day we will have the opportunity to sit down and talk, and laugh about all this, because I don’t I don’t even keep money, let alone hate others. And I hope you don’t either, because I think it was all a misunderstanding.”
